printer friendly
The Seneca Nation of New York has laid off 210 employees at three of its casinos due to the downturn in the economy.

The tribe announced a 5 percent reduction in the gaming workforce. Jobs at two off-reservation facilities and an off-reservation facility are affected.

The Seneca Gaming Corporation also has been reducing costs by suspending bonuses and reducing salaries for senior management. The firm's top lawyer, Barry Brandon, was recently fired from his $70,000 a year job.
