Dispute over child welfare contract continues

The Northern Arapaho Tribe and the state of Wyoming are still at odds over a child welfare services contract.
The state insisted on language that subjected child welfare disputes to state court. But the tribe wouldn't waive its sovereignty.
As a result, the tribe says it has run out of money to pay its share of the salary for a tribal-state liaison. The tribe says the money is instead going to child welfare services.
The state says it is still funding services on the reservation but through individual contractors.
