Ralph Reed worked for Abramoff -- again

Ralph Reed, the Christian Republican activist and candidate for lieutenant governor of Georgia, worked for disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff on yet another gaming venture but still denies knowing he was paid by gaming interests.
Reed received a pass-through donation of $80,000 from eLottery, an Internet gaming company, to oppose an Internet gaming bill. Later he received $150,000 to fund a direct marketing campaign to pressure House Republicans into opposing the measure.
But Reed's campaign manager denies Reed knew the source of the funds. He has used that same defense on three prior occasions when his work for Abramoff and Abramoff's gaming clients -- including some wealthy tribes -- has come to light. He fought an expansion of gaming in Alabama and tribal casinos in Texas using gaming money.
