Nomination hearing for Artman set for Thursday

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold a confirmation hearing for Carl Artman, President Bush's nominee to head the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Artman is a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. He most recently served as the tribe's general counsel.

The hearing starts at 9:30am in Room 485 of the Russell Senate Office Building. It will be broadcast online at http://indian.senate.gov/public
