Aquash murder defendant seeks trial delay

John Graham, Canadian man accused of murdering American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou Aquash, is seeking to delay his trial.
Graham, 52, is set to go to trial on June 17 for the 1975 murder. His lawyers want to wait until September 15 to have more time to prepare the case.
Graham was extradited from Canada to face the charge, which he denies. A second man, Arlo Looking Cloud, was convicted and is serving a life sentence for the crime.
Aquash was Mi'kmaq from Canada. She was killed on the Pine Ridge Reservation in December 1975.
