Group examines missing, dead residential students

A group established by the Canadian government is looking into students who went missing or died while attending Native residential schools.

The group will report to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission about ways to investigate the incidents. Currently, there is no data about the number of missing students or deaths.

The government settled claims by residential students for $2 billion.
