Soboba Band to sign law enforcement agreement

The Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians has reached a law enforcement-related agreement with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The agreement, which is being called a mediation agreement, will be signed on Monday. Details will be announced then.

The reservation was the site of three fatal shootings between tribal members and sheriff's deputies in May. There were six officer-related shootings in the first six months of the year.
