Rosebud Sioux Tribe wraps up summit on suicides

The
Rosebud Sioux
Tribe of South Dakota wrapped up a summit on youth suicide on Wednesday.
The tribe's Suicide Prevention Task Force released a 20-point action plan to address the crisis. It cites the need for youth training, cultural preservation and outreach.
The tribe has reported 519 suicide attempts or gestures since January 2005. This year alone, there have been seven suicides among young people.
The
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is conducting an epidemiology study for the tribe.
