Search of reserve fails to turn up missing inmates
Friday, September 5, 2008

A search of the Frog Lake First Nation in Alberta failed to turn up any sign of four Native inmates who escaped from a prison in Saskatchewan on August 24.

The search lasted 10 hours on Wednesday before being called off. Some homes were evacuated during the search but all have been allowed to return home.

Ryan John Agecoutay, 25, Preston Clarence Buffalocalf, 22, Cody Dillon Keenatch, 19, and Daniel Richard Wolfe, 32, are among six Native inmates who escaped from the Regina Correctional Centre. They are considered dangerous and authorities have linked them to Native gangs.

Two inmates who escaped have been captured.
