Congressman to fight Jena casino proposal

Representative David Vitter (R-Louisiana) said he will oppose the Jena Choctaw Tribe's latest casino proposal.
Vitter also challenged Gov. Mike Foster and said Foster has been lobbying for the casino. Foster has written Secretary of Interior Gale Norton in support of the tribe's request for a 54-acre initial reservation.
The tribe was recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1994. It has no land base.
